Enter a posh record shop in Japan, look at the panels: maybe you’ll find Gonzo48K. Yep, Pippola records are now distributed there too, and “Hi-fi lovers” is the one succeeding best: predictably, Japanese kids love their gummy indie-tronic melodies, breathing the same air of Postal Service and Lali Puna, but more powerful and dreamy. Simone and Luca come from Rovigo and more than a few people think that their version of Ben E. King’s Stand by me is better than the original one… Hope in a new issue soon.
