AMARI

Dicembre 23, 2008

Once were rappers. Then these 5 young men based in Udine -North East- started melting their hip hop with Italian pop songwriters like Lucio Battisti and Lucio Dalla, dance-oriented electronics and black flavours: they dubbed the result “wrong pop” but it sounds irresistible, carrying sharp lyrics that fit with this generation’s mood. Petted by after-teen fashion magazines such as Vice and Pig, Amari take inspiration from 80s and 90s b-sides too, introducing grams of Justice into their sound.
